...and so another night of cleaning. This time I got all the necessary stuff done. Yes, there are now 8 room to play in; I'm happy! Tonight I'll hook up my 15's and hopefully play a set or two or three - depending on my mood ;-)
Last night was a productive one, no doubt. I cleaned proper; mop, dust, sweep, organize.... it feels good! After the cleaning I decided a nice romantic meal for 1 was in order. One the menu; Canadian Cod cooked with tomatoes (..and a dash of basil), each fish had a different combination of spices - Jamacian Jerk, Wild Island and something else I cant recal... I made rice (....not burn rice) with celery, green, yellow and red peppers plus a bit (..if not too much) spice mixed into the pot.
...Yummy! No leftovers! ...And to wash it all down; a Boddingtons! Cheers!
After dinner I chatted with Adam for an hour. We caught up on some things going on in our lives; jobs/career, women, health and exercise, golf plans. It's always good to talk with a friend (old or new). After our friendly chat we decided a few rounds of shot-first/death to all were in-store. And how we went about this;
playing Halo 2 of course!
...We've started calling it "Hump Day" challenge.
Here are the games:
Game 1:
Slayer @ Elongation aka "the longest"...Notice the score, 12 to 9... not a bad fight. It was close for awhile, until I got the shot gun ;-)
Game 2:
Slayer @ Foundation...ok, this ended in tie. Secretly, I let Adam grab the rocket launcher to even the game. He unleashed holy hell, quickly catching up witha 1:39 on the clock!
and the tie breaker...
Game 3:
Slayer @ Warlock aka "old wizard"...and yes, he got his ass handed to him. There werent any power weapons on this board (rocket launcher, sword, sniper) so it's faily even as far as the weapon sets concerned. I ran through him, proper. Shotgun once again ;-)
Yeah, I'm geeky, I love my video games (even though I only own 4 of them). Xbox live is the greatest shit.. I wish contra for NES was online compatible - damn! O well.... It was a good night chatting with Adam, playing games and rewarding myself after the hard cleaning job I've put on the house in the past month. Cheers to me!
