Which would you pick?
I've been dying to switch coffee brands in my office. Normally it's a pot of Maxwell House, a brand of coffee that I dont care for. However, I'll drink it due to a)my coffee from home has already been consumed b)i'm too lazy to drive to starbucks (not that I really want starbucks) c)i'll settle for schawg coffee when the "good shit" isnt around d)i'm fiending for my beans e)i'm not at the point of bringing in my own coffee pot
So... today I had an opportunity to secretly switch brands (although I was kinda caught-in-the-act) for a taste and smell test.
"...smells good."
"...is that the normal coffee you're making, smells different."
"...got the shit beans brewing?"
So, I think a few co-workers picked up on the switch. No complaints as of yet though. We'll see what the scene's like tomorrow when I swap the brands.
As for me, I'd rock Seattle's Best every day. What about you?
...normally I'll pick-up an african coffee (Kenya, Ethiopian) or one of the many "organic" brands I see at local shops. I used to drink espresso's (triple or double) daily, maybe 2-4 cups each day. It's a great way to
self-medicate my adhd. I no longer have the heady espresso machine at my disposal, now I'm back to my normal beans of Kenyan or Ehtiopian - no complaints!
So
More tasters choice...
I can say I've consumed sushi from 80% of the sushi houses in Pittsburgh. Click
HERE for the list. Yeah, I know it's the "top 10" and honestly, there arent many other places in the 15222 for sushi. I know they left our Ginza, which isnt too great. As for the list, I've yet to eat sushi from Kiku (#4) and Umi (#7). I dont know if I can put myself on Ellsworth and have a smile - I'm a Walnut St boi... Anyways, my favorite sushi house is Chaya, number 1 on the list!
...and Chaya was one of stops on Saturday - more on that later.
So
The taster's choice started on Friday evening. A nice meal consisting of Stuffed Peppers w/stuffed Turkey meat, salsa, rice and a few herbs and spices. There were 2 sides, broccoli and garden salad.

and...

Tasty, I loved every bite! Actually, you could tell I loved it as my plate was spotless after 2 minutes. I'm usually the one who eats slow... ha! The salsa added a nice flavor to the meal, plus the herbs and spices she added to the flavor. The peppers were good too; I like mine a bit crunchy too!
Impressed, hells yah! And I didnt do a damn thing - well, expect warm the broccoli ;-) +5
Thanks!
...and Friday was chiiiiiiiiiiilllllllllllll (I say this slowly and with a thick tongue). After dinner and laughs we watched
Sin City which blew me away. I hadnt seen the movie at the theatres and didnt want to dig around for any info on the flick . Basically, I had no idea of what I'd watch and see... And when the credits rolled I sat up and said "that was pretty fucking good". True, I missed a half hour or so of the flick, something I'll re-watch. I liked Mickey Rouke's story best!
Blondie, ohh Blondie!
-> Saturday (...to be continued)
