So, I'm big on "dealing", not the illegal kind. Dealing with said events, thoughts, actions - whatever - that happens to present themselves into your life and path...
Some people are: All theory and no action or all action and no theory.
You must have both... Have a theory, have ideas and goals but act them out, have action! And action, do what you know is right, true. Act out what you're thinking and feeling - have theory. feel meh?
Progress ehh?
I guess you have to be willing to deal with both, hopefully understanding each as it's own entity but also realizing their bond.
So, its like chess. Why? Well, the board is laid out for you, pieces are where they should be (or hope to be). It's your choice to make certain moves, certain actions. You have a theory (if you plan on winning) and you act out your theory by movement - movement of the chess pieces. You have a plan.
But what happens when your plans break down? What do you do? Quit? Tip the king? Do you deal?
Yeah, life does that - suprises - just when you arent expecting. When you have those precious plans set, laid out - boom - something happens that alters said plans. But, is it a bad thing? Does this sudden change of plans mean it's the end of all things? No. Is it a matter of dealing, finding another alternative? If you cant go through, go over - if you cant go over, go under - if you cant go under, go around - etc, etc, etc.
Having a plan is great and all but being spontaneous does make it interesting. Those random / spontaneous "things" always come up. Deal.
Now, I'm not saying jump blindly into the water - just have an idea of where you want to land and go from there. And who says the water will be warm or clear? Who says there arent any sharks cruising the water, waiting... things come up.
Deal or be dealt.
