This network outage was a walk-in-the-park compared to previous ones I've worked on. Hell, it wasnt nearly as bad as before, when the network broke - which sucked! Hours of cable swapping, recompiling, phone calls to datacenters, reboots...yeah, it's been fun!

But alas, I remembered the samba syntax for joining new domains - even though we switched 2 routers and switches samba found it necessary to re-join the network. le sigh. Dns wasnt a problem this time, luckily. The gateway, dhcp and network testing wasnt tedious or perplexing - simple - just how I like it. And thank god for the dialup connection I have with my old ISP. That damn dialup account comes in handy every now and again.

Hell, that dialup account made my "negative banter post" possible. Thanks SGI!

Thanks to Verizon for coming through on a due date - not THE due date we originally had with you bastards! It's all good though, we're up and running. LIVE. Yeah, these 6 little ports have been my bane as of late..."when's the internet getting fixed." TODAY!

Now I can stream audio all day, every day - proper! I'm very addicted to my streams... quality and quantity. Ahh, Proton's rocking today - woot!









And our Point to Point "bridge" has been re-established to our CT office - phew - this is, what, the 6th time we've done this.

Now I feel proper; I'll enjoy tomorrow! No way I'm taking my work with me... in 8 minutes I'm done for a day. Maybe more... But yeah, I'll be able to enjoy my day without worrying about connectivity or network issues. And I get to see a few of my favorite golfers tomorrow, sickest!

It's been a great week. Is it Wednesday already? Feels like Friday. Meh. Good week for being creative and introverted. Yeah, that's it. I've spent a considerable amount of time researching new hardware for the studio, playing tracks, working on a few projects that I slacked on and some other goodies I'll keep tucked away (until a later date and time). It's been refreshing to map out keys on the syth and re-learn a few tricks I've forgotten about. And there are a few tracks I forgot I had...so yeah, the mixings been spot on to my thoughts; minimal, deep and banging.
