And to start it off, proper, Hallucinogen from 2005-08-25 - latenight set, 2-4am!

I never start my days off with intense music, not psy-trance. Never. Today I'm down for a change...Mind you, my morning tunes are usually chill; phish, Common, Mos, Steve Miller, Neil Young, Marley or Bjork... nothing at 150 BPM!

...and so I've spent a chunk / 80% of my day reading about Simon Posford and his wonderful lab of gadgets - I've reviewed new keyboards and looked into a decent replacement for my old Vestex (which housed my busted copy of Final Scratch). I fancy the Motif series - thanks for letting me break your shit Aaron! Maybe I need something else...

But Simon's equipment...it's sick... see for yourself!

And the beat...

I hear the beat in my head all day. It's been there for years; now I hear it and want to play with it. I've played in the past, I enjoy. Has it been so long since I've itched to get behind my decks? I've felt this way before and I embraced my feelings, I'll do the same this time around - different though.

Last night I couldnt control it.

1,2,3,4,2,2,3,4,3,2,3,4 and so on... trying to sleep last night was rough. Crickets in the night, syncopated with my breathing. Fuck, I hear it when the copier buzzes... 1,2,3,4,2,2,3,4

Now that I've got myself established in the house; established at this point means that my studio gears all hooked up and ready to go! Yes, the keyboards work, mixers, turntables, software, computer systems - check - not nearly as hardcore or sick as Simon's though! My personal lab...

I'm feeling fucks all for the weekend; holing up with Stella and bashing out beats all night. And my neighbors, bullocks on all of them! If my house is'a rawking, dont come'a knocking.
