Level 3 Network Operations Tech said: "Well, your internet IS working, we arent allowing you to access any cogent sites."

I said: "well, you cant say our internet's properly working if we cant route to OUR sites!"

Level 3 Network Operations Tech said: "well, can you access other sites."

I said: "slightly. we are unable to access our servers in Washington. so, NO, our internet isnt working."

Level 3 Network Operations Tech said: "as I said, we're preventing you from accessing cogent sites. we are providing you with internet connectivity; traffic gets out and in so, technically you are connected."

I hang up, frustrated - then convey my schwag to my boss.

Internet Providers, why dont you place nice with your brothers and sisters!
